What this site shows about students

A project appears here only after Dr. Taegil Ha has reviewed and published it. For each published project the site may show the project's title and description, the names and roles of the people who worked on it, images of the project running, a link to a demonstration video, the licence the students chose, and the technical information needed to rebuild the system.

Name display is per person, and opt-out

Each participant on a project carries a display permission. When it is off, that person's name does not appear on any public page — their contribution stays in the instructor's record only. Students set this on their project before submitting, and can ask Dr. Taegil Ha to change it afterwards.

That permission is how consent is given and recorded. It is per person, per project, changeable at any time, and enforced by the software rather than filed away — so no separate consent form is collected.

What is never published

• Email addresses, student identifiers and account details.
• Passwords, two-step verification secrets and recovery codes. These are not visible to anyone, including the instructor.
• API keys and other runtime credentials. These are stored encrypted with a key held outside the database, are never displayed again after entry, and never appear on a public page. Staff see only whether a value is Configured, Missing, Replaced or Deleted.
• Files that have not passed a malware scan.
• Release packages and handoff documents, which are released only to people the instructor has authorised.

What is kept, and for how long

The purpose of this platform is preservation: projects, their documentation and their files are intended to remain available after the course ends, so the work can be understood and rebuilt years later.

Account records, submissions and an administrative audit log are therefore kept indefinitely, as a permanent teaching archive. When a student graduates or leaves, their published project stays published unless they ask for it to be removed — a project that disappeared when its author graduated would not be preserved at all.

Removal requests

A student who wants their name, their images or their whole project removed from the public site should contact Dr. Taegil Ha. Unpublishing a project removes it from the public showcase immediately, without deleting the student's own work.

Cookies

The public pages of this site set no analytics or advertising cookies. Signing in sets a session cookie and a security token cookie, both required for the portal to work.

A project that runs in your browser is served from a separate domain that has no access to this site or to your account. Opening one that is not fully public may set one short-lived cookie on that domain, to carry your access to that build's own files. It reaches nothing else.
